Forklift Operator

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our warehouse team as a forklift operator. You will be responsible for moving raw commodities and materials around our facilities. You will operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure both efficiency and safety. Your duties may involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces, and other facilities. You must be a responsible individual with significant experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that materials and products are always in the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them in assigned locations.
• Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identifying damages and reporting shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Operating relevant machinery safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of reach trucks, pallet jacks, and related equipment, as well as safety standards.
• Proficiency in using inventory scanners, GPS systems, warehouse management software, and other technologies.
• Strong observational and safety skills to recognize hazards or safety risks and respond appropriately.
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical fitness to handle lifting, bending, and moving materials.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate inventory management.
• Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and verifying loads.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment, RF scanners, and safety procedures.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to sit, stand, and walk regularly.
• You will frequently need to reach with your hands and arms.
• You must be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 75-100 pounds.

Work Environment:

• This position will involve twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling, and occasionally stooping, crouching, or crawling.
• You will regularly lift and/or move up to 75-100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• You will work near moving mechanical parts, and the noise level in the work environment is typically loud.

Clothing Requirements:

• Wear jeans (no shorts).
• T-shirts should cover the arms; no skin should be exposed above the elbow or neck.
• No open-toed shoes (steel-toe shoes are not required).
• Avoid wearing perfume or cologne, as they may adversely affect the product.
• Jewelry on hands, neck, or face is not permitted due to potential product contamination.
• Clothing must be non-restrictive; sagging pants are unacceptable.

Pay:

$20.00 to $22.00 an hour

• PTO Accrual:

  40 hours for the first year and 80 hours for the second year.
• Eight (8) paid holidays.
• Eligibility starts 3 months after your start date for the following:
• 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% match
• 100% paid medical coverage for you, with family coverage at 50%
