Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' communication and learning as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. Two full-time positions are available, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated school staff and make a tangible impact in the lives of children and families. You'll work standard school hours, from 8:15 am to 3:45 pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), and provide essential speech and language services from August 12, 2026, through June 10, 2027. Each SLP will carry a manageable caseload of up to 55 students, allowing you to focus on high-quality care and individualized support.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current SLP license for the state of California Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Previous experience working in school settings highly valued Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and support staffKey Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs Develop, update, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Complete progress reports and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress to parents and staff This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive difference as part of a vibrant school community.
