Forklift operator/ laborer

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating a Forklift and other machinery. They will also be able competently back up a truck and trailer. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, contributing to the successful completion of projects. The Forklift Operator will work closely with other team members to maintain high standards of safety and productivity. Pay Based on experience and work performance with ability for higher pay for more qualified and efficient workers. Responsibilities Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner. Haul a trailer of materials to job sites Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment for any mechanical issues. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow on sites. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment. Assist in building projects by moving sheds and materials around the property. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or repairs required. Keep accurate weekly material inventory counts. Aid in the inspection of finished product and materials. perform small repairs to buildings on the property Qualifications Proven experience in Forklift operation within a construction site environment is preferred. Familiarity with various types of Forklifts and other machinery. Background in Carpentry preferred Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors effectively. Commitment to adhering to safety standards and regulations at all times. Valid driver's license
