The Front Desk Receptionist greets visitors and directs them to appropriate office/personnel; receives phone calls and directs them to appropriate personnel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: (Other appropriate duties may be assigned.)- Serves as a receptionist and greets all persons entering the facility. Notifies appropriate personnel when people arrive for appointments/meetings. Assures district safety procedures are followed in admitting public to building.
- Directs visitors to appropriate meeting rooms.
- Answers and screens incoming telephone calls and routes call to appropriate person.
- Maintains a pleasant and orderly atmosphere in the reception area. Ensures that sufficient number of brochures, handouts, etc. are available in reception area.
- Maintains an up-to-date listing of telephone extension numbers.
- Assists with distributing mail.
- Notifies Facilities Director of emergency situations. Contacts ambulance, police and/or fire departments as necessary.
- Collaborates with Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer to administer the Facilities use policy and FMX.
- Receives, files, and logs the drill reports from all schools.
- Answers routine questions about the School District and provides address, directions, and other information supporting the mission of the Upper Moreland School District.
- Responds to requests for general information such as a list of Upper Moreland Board members, employee extension numbers, etc.
- Assists with bulk mailings, collating, and envelope stuffing, as time permits.
- Prepares office correspondence, documents, and spreadsheets utilizing Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Coordinates key events for Upper Moreland affiliates including UMEF, HSAs, and other organizations. Sends out schedule confirmations on a weekly basis to the community groups with activities scheduled at Upper Moreland School District facilities.
- Maintain the lighting schedule for the District and community groups utilizing the stadium and multipurpose turf field.
- Maintains office supplies.
- Projects a positive image of the Upper Moreland School District and its programs and services.
- Observes confidentiality in all district matters.
- Serves as a back-up to other staff members and helps them with tasks when deadlines require.
- Performs routine clerical tasks from the Human Resources Office and other Central Offices, as assigned.
- Provides backup support for student registration and related duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience.
- Experience in working with the public.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of computer software programs including word and spreadsheet programs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures or government regulations.
- Congenial interpersonal skills when interacting with stakeholders.
- Ability to lift and/or move boxes weighing 20-25 pounds.
- Ability to interact positively with others and work as a team.
- Ability to take initiative and multitask.
