Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and personable Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient check-in experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently Verify patient information, insurance details, and collect necessary documentation Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism and accuracy Maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system Process payments, copays, and financial transactions accurately Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow Maintain a clean and organized front desk area Handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or certification in healthcare administration a plus) Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or customer service role Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment Compassionate and patient-focused approach
