Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Full-Time Veterinary Technician and take the next step in your animal care career! We are excited to offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus to motivated professionals eager to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners. As a vital member of our veterinary practice, you will be at the forefront of providing exceptional animal care, supporting veterinary procedures, and ensuring a smooth clinic operation. Your expertise will help create a compassionate, efficient, and welcoming environment for every patient and client. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with animal restraint and handling. Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to aid in accurate diagnosis. Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and patient histories with precision and attention to detail. Manage kennel duties including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animals' health status to ensure their comfort and safety. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology, assisting with pet grooming, and performing animal husbandry tasks. Handle pet care responsibilities such as administering medications, applying aseptic techniques during procedures, and caring for animals post-operation. Operate specialized equipment including animal catheterization tools, X-ray machines, and laboratory instruments while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven kennel experience combined with strong animal husbandry skills to ensure optimal pet care. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and critical care practices. Experience with dog handling techniques, dog training basics, pet grooming, and animal restraint methods. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in diagnostic testing. Ability to perform veterinary technician duties involving animal catheterization and aseptic techniques confidently. Understanding of equine experience is a plus for clinics that handle larger animals or farm calls. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners on health care needs.
