  • Part-time Overview Yeshiva Har Torah is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Middle School History Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
This position is available in two configurations:
Full-Time:
Monday through Thursday, 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM, and Friday, 8:45 AM to 1:00 PM. The full-time teacher will teach three sections of 6th Grade World History and three sections of 7th Grade American History.
Part-Time:
Two part-time options are available: Morning (World History): Monday through Thursday, 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM, and Friday, 8:45 AM to 11:00 AM, teaching four sections of 6th Grade World History. Afternoon (American History): Monday through Thursday, 12:15 PM to 4:45 PM, and Friday, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, teaching four sections of 7th Grade American History. Responsibilities Teach middle school American history , covering key events, figures, and themes. Develop and implement engaging, discussion-based lessons that promote historical thinking and analysis. Foster a student-centered classroom that encourages inquiry, debate, and connection to current events. Utilize primary sources, historical documents, and multimedia resources to enhance instruction. Assess student progress through varied and meaningful assessments , providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student growth and school initiatives. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure student success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, History, or a related field (Master's preferred). Teaching experience in middle school history preferred. Strong knowledge of American history, historical inquiry, and primary source analysis . Ability to create an engaging, inquiry-based learning environment . Excellent communication and classroom management skills . Commitment to professional growth and a collaborative school culture .
