$85,000 Position Summary The Full-Time Nursing Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and supporting the academic integrity, student success, and regulatory compliance of undergraduate nursing programs. Faculty teach across didactic, laboratory, simulation, and clinical environments, contributing to curriculum development, student retention, and continuous program improvement. This role supports alignment with Board of Nursing (BON) requirements, NCLEX-RN outcomes, and accreditation standards, while promoting a student-centered learning environment. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Instruction Deliver didactic, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction using evidence-based, student-centered strategies Teach in accelerated 8-week hybrid formats with both in-person and synchronous components Provide timely grading, feedback, and assessment, including exam analysis and competency evaluation Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support to students Supervise and evaluate students in clinical and simulation settings, ensuring safe and effective practice Integrate simulation, technology, and active learning strategies to support clinical judgment and NCLEX readiness Student Success & Retention Identify and support at-risk students through early intervention strategies Promote student progression, retention, and program completion Support

preparation through aligned instruction and assessment practices Reinforce professional behaviors and accountability Curriculum & Course Development Participate in curriculum development, revision, and standardization Ensure alignment of course content with: Course and Program Learning Outcomes (CLOs/PLOs)

Test Plan and Next Gen clinical judgment frameworks Board of Nursing and accreditation standards Contribute to curriculum mapping and course consistency across sections Accreditation, Compliance & Assessment Support compliance with Board of Nursing (BON), state, and accreditation requirements Participate in program evaluation and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes Contribute to data collection and analysis, including: NCLEX performance Retention and progression rates Course outcomes and assessment data Assist with accreditation preparation and reporting Clinical & Simulation Responsibilities Supervise students in clinical settings in accordance with BON regulations Ensure appropriate clinical learning experiences and compliance with site requirements Participate in simulation development and implementation aligned with course outcomes Collaborate with clinical partners to maintain quality learning environments Collaboration & Program Operations Collaborate with co-faculty to ensure consistency in course delivery, grading, and communication Support course scheduling and coordination across didactic, clinical, and simulation components Participate in student onboarding, orientation, and compliance processes Engage in faculty meetings and institutional initiatives Service & Professional Engagement Serve on School of Nursing and University committees Contribute to program growth, policy development, and strategic initiatives Engage in community and clinical partnerships as appropriate Professional Development Maintain current clinical competency and knowledge of nursing practice and education Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education Engage in scholarly or professional activities consistent with institutional expectations Minimum Qualifications Education Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required Doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, EdD) preferred Licensure Current, unencumbered RN license (West Virginia or multi-state) Experience Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience Teaching experience preferred Skills Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to teach in hybrid and technology-supported environments Proficiency with learning management systems and instructional technology Work Environment On-campus role with responsibilities in: Classroom instruction Skills and simulation labs Clinical settings May require evening and/or weekend availability Key Expectations Ability to teach across core nursing content areas, including medical-surgical nursing Commitment to student success, retention, and licensure outcomes Adherence to Board of Nursing, accreditation, and institutional standards Active participation in faculty governance and program operations Salem University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance.
