Full-Time & Part-Time Pharmacist (Long Term Care)

MDS RX is a closed door, long term care pharmacy providing pharmacy services to nursing facilities across Western Pennsylvania looking to hire a Full or a Part-Time Pharmacist. The job functions of the staff pharmacist include, but aren't limited to: Verification of new and reordered medication orders. Screening for drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate medication therapy. Communicate with management, co-workers, prescribers, nurses, and administration at our nursing facilities. Enter, verify, and potentially compound IV orders. Provide final review of drug orders and prescriptions. Assist in maintaining the inventory of the pharmacy, including a perpetual inventory of schedule II medications. Knowledge of federal and state laws governing the practice of pharmacy. The staff pharmacist must possess these key skills and attributes:

Punctual, Patient Safety, Quality Assurance, Pharmacy Professional Practice, Customer Service, Workflow Management, Sound Judgement, Works Independent, Time Management, Leadership Requirements:

Registered Pharmacist or Pharm.

D Active Pennsylvania pharmacy license in good standing with the board of pharmacy Preferred but not required qualifications: Experience with the FrameworkLTC operating system,

Point Click Care Pharmacy Hours:

Monday-Friday8AM-5:30PM Saturday 9AM-3PM On-Call (rotation every 4th weekend)
