Job Description

Standard 2nd Shift Hours | 3pm-11:30pm | Mon-Fri with overtime as needed This position will need to train on 1st or 3rd shift for up to 6 months. We are currently seeking a Gluing Machine Operator to join our talented team. Wynalda Packaging, formed in 1970, is an industry-leading folding carton manufacturer serving global leaders across a wide range of industries. Machine (Gluing) Operator Sets up jobs and tends to the folding/gluing machine to keep it running; prevents or fixes any jam-ups; and helps insure good quality product is being produced. Assisted by team of feeders/catchers. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Establish make-ready on machine based on carton style and customer requirements. Initiate the making of box labels and obtain approval from the Working Lead/Shift Supervisor. Monitor the efficiency of the feeder and catchers; and ensure the overall product quality generated from the glue line. Keep machine running at desired speed, quickly resolving any jams or glue problems. Complete daily production/attribute report and hourly management reports. Perform quality checks and documentation. Required to perform any one of the following tests: opening force, edge caliper, scanner challenge. Ensures quality standard conformance through visual inspection of printed cards, cartons or folders; discards defective cards, cartons or folders when job is completed and accounted for. Trouble shoot for machine malfunctions. Makes minor repairs and adjustments. Completes appropriate paperwork as assigned to department. All other duties as assigned. Experience and/or
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. MUST possess a minimum of 2-3 years working history in a position demonstrating mechanical experience, aptitude and competence working with hand tools. Stable working history Strong communication and teamwork skills. Strong analytical skills. An orientation toward process improvement.
Pay and Benefits:
Pay for this position will be weekly, based on experience, shift worked and machine assignment.
