Responsibilities Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools to maintain grass and plantings effectively. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Use power tools and machinery like excavators for larger landscaping projects or site preparation. Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and assessing health to ensure safety and vitality. Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to optimize water efficiency. Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for pedestrians. Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating lawn care machinery and hand tools. Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, horticulture, and gardening principles. Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and tree trimming. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor tasks. Prior experience with power tools, excavators, or construction equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols during equipment operation and landscape work. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining outdoor spaces.
