Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting student development as an Occupational Therapist for a maternity leave coverage. This full-time position runs from mid-August to early October, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives in a vibrant educational setting near Martinsburg, WV. Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license Previous school-based OT experience preferred Strong background in gross motor skills development Experience in home health OT and/or teletherapy is advantageous Comfort collaborating with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) Independent, flexible, and skilled at adapting to changing needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students Collaborate with educators, COTAs, and support teams to develop and implement IEPs Conduct assessments focused on gross and fine motor skill development Deliver therapy both on-site and virtually as needed Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans as necessary Maintain open, empathetic communication with families and staff Experience the fulfillment that comes from helping students achieve their fullest potential while enjoying the flexibility of a contract role.
