Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Ground Hand/Laborer and be a vital part of building and maintaining essential telecommunication and IT infrastructure. In this energetic role, you will support skilled technicians by performing foundational tasks such as cabling, equipment handling, and site preparation. Your hands-on work will help ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of fiber optic networks, network infrastructure, and low voltage systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in a fast-paced construction environment while contributing to critical communication systems that connect communities and businesses. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication and IT infrastructure. Opportunity to learn how to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and other construction machinery safely and efficiently under supervision. Support technicians in climbing poles or towers using appropriate safety gear to access high points for cable installation or repairs. Learn to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical instructions to assist with network infrastructure projects. Handle low voltage wiring tasks for telecommunications while adhering to safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and safety protocols are followed. Requirements Previous experience in field service or construction environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Ability to learn how to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and hand tools safely. Basic understanding of telecommunication systems, cabling techniques, and general safety practices. Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, or computer networking concepts such as LAN, Ethernet, WAN is a plus. Physical ability to climb poles or towers using appropriate safety gear; comfortable working at heights. Strong work ethic with a focus on safety procedures in construction or utility environments. Excellent teamwork skills with the willingness to learn new technical skills related to IT infrastructure installation.
