Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Group Home Worker, where you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to residents with diverse needs. In this dynamic position, you will support individuals living in a group home setting by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a warm, supportive environment that fosters dignity and well-being for all residents. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your caregiving skills. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring safety and compliance Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, engaging them in social activities and conversations Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment Manage behavioral challenges through positive behavior management techniques and de-escalation strategies Maintain detailed documentation of resident care plans using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and report any changes or concerns promptly Skills Proven experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home & community care environments Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and senior care best practices Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to resident support Capable of operating EMR systems for accurate record keeping Valid driver's license for transportation duties when required Physical stamina to perform lifting tasks and assist with mobility; experience with Hoyer lifts is preferred Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Basic cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living environment Join us in creating a nurturing community where every resident feels valued.
