Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School-based Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students for the next school year. This position is located in the vicinity of Waterbury, CT, offering a purposeful environment where your expertise will help students develop essential communication skills. Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active SLP licensure (or eligibility) in Connecticut ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is advantageous Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Main Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other specialists Conduct progress evaluations and adjust intervention plans as needed Maintain thorough documentation of services rendered, updates, and treatment outcomes Provide guidance to families and teachers on communication strategies to reinforce progress outside of therapy Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to support student success Enjoy the flexibility that a contract position provides, working on a school-year timeline that aligns with educational calendars.
