Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Head Kombucha Brewer to lead our brewing operations and ensure the production of high-quality, small-batch kombucha. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire brewing process, from fermentation to kegging, maintaining strict adherence to food safety standards and industry best practices. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate brewing professional eager to learn about kombucha and fermentation and work in a small local company that has growth potential. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Brewing 2-3 days a week pH tracking and monitoring kombucha health Brewing, flavoring, kegging and carbonating kombucha Understanding and using all brewing equipment (e.g. pumps, multiple types of tanks & kegs, scales, pH monitors, etc.) Cleaning/sanitizing tanks, kegs and equipment Keeping the brewhouse clean, tidy, and organized and all materials, ingredients & inventory are stocked Working with owners and other team members to make sure product is brewed, flavored, transferred, and delivered on time Managing and maintaining ingredients & inventory Occasionally transferring and washing kegs and delivering kegs to wholesale Key skills and requirements: Experience with brewing (any type), fermenting or commercial kitchens encouraged Experience managing others encouraged; ability to interact professionally with other team members a necessity Requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to manage one's self and work in an efficient manner Strong communication skills required Requires ability to problem solve, learn quickly, and have a strong work ethic Requires the ability to work on one's feet for most of the day and occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
