Job Description:

Head of People Base salary: $200K - 270k base + equity

Schedule:

We're looking for a Head of People to own and scale the operational backbone of our global people function. This is a high-impact role combining strategic HR leadership with hands-on execution across systems, compliance, and employee experience. What You'll Do Build & scale HR infrastructure: Own and optimize HR systems including HRIS, payroll, benefits, 401k, and internal data processes Manage the full employee lifecycle: Oversee onboarding, offer letters, offboarding, promotions, role changes, and performance cycles Design scalable processes: Create policies and procedures that support rapid growth while maintaining a strong culture Drive reporting & insights: Track headcount, retention, performance, and workforce planning Ensure global compliance: Partner with legal and finance to manage international employment, payroll, and immigration requirements Manage team: Manage and mentor small junior team Additional Impact Oversee benefits programs and vendor relationships Partner with leadership on org design, planning, and performance management Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee relations What We're Looking For 10+ years in People Ops, HR, or similar roles in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments Experience with managing payroll. 401k plans, and creating competitive benefit plans Experience supporting international workforces (e.g. India) Strong knowledge of HR operations and employment compliance Systems thinker who enjoys building scalable processes Comfortable operating in ambiguity with multiple priorities High integrity and discretion with sensitive information Confident partner to leadership with strong ownership mindset Compensation & Perks Base salary: $200K - 270k base + equity $15K relocation bonus (Bay Area) $10K housing bonus (within close proximity to office) $1.5K/month meal stipend Free premium gym membership Monthly wellness & lifestyle reimbursements Full health, dental, vision + 401(k) match Work Environment In-person, five days a week + available after standard business hours and weekends Offices in San Francisco, New York City, and London Work alongside top researchers, operators, and AI innovators shaping the future of intelligent systems If you're excited about building the infrastructure behind a world-class team-and want to operate at the intersection of people, systems, and cutting-edge technology-this role is for you.
