Job Description

Company Overview Located on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast, Coos County is known for its rich natural resources, tourism, beautiful coastline, and a rural feel. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic Health & Human Services Director to lead Coos Health & Wellness (CHW), a leading community health organization providing integrated behavioral health, physical, educational and public health services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive executive management experience to provide strategic direction, leadership and operational oversight. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for all health and human services programs, ensuring alignment with community needs, County priorities and organizational goals. Manage program budgets effectively, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maintaining service quality. Program planning, implementation, evaluation, and policy development. Provide executive leadership to advance the integration of services within CHW and the broader community, utilizing data, performance metrics, and best practices to drive continuous improvement. Cultivate strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and resource sharing.
Required qualifications:
(including but not limited to) Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible administrative experience; OR Master's degree in behavioral, social, or health sciences with a minimum of seven (7) years of administrative leadership experience in health and human services, community health centers, and/or a mental health system; OR Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. In-depth knowledge of community health and behavioral health systems, including service delivery models and organizational best practices. Proven management skills with experience overseeing large teams and complex programs. Preference may be given to candidates with CCBHC operations experience; and/or knowledge of Oregon's CCO model, Medicaid and Oregon's Medicaid managed care Oregon Health Plan.
Pay:
$139,404.00 - $169,644.00 per year
