Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews, to determine appropriate treatment strategies. Utilize acupuncture techniques to target specific trigger points, addressing issues such as acute pain management and musculoskeletal discomfort. Apply herbal medicine techniques when appropriate to support recovery and overall health. Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and physical therapists, to coordinate patient care plans. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) documenting diagnoses, treatments, progress notes, and follow-up plans. Educate patients on treatment procedures, post-treatment care, and lifestyle modifications for optimal health outcomes. Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control. Requirements Proven experience in pain medicine, trigger point therapy, or acute pain management with a strong focus on patient service. In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physical examination techniques relevant to acupuncture practice. Certification or licensing as an acupuncturist in accordance with local regulations; familiarity with TCM principles is highly desirable. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management systems for documentation and patient tracking. Strong client communication skills to effectively explain treatments and address patient concerns with empathy. Ability to perform detailed patient assessments using diagnostic tools such as medical diagnosis techniques and physical examinations. Experience with herbal medicine techniques and pain management strategies is a plus.
