This is a part-time independent-contractor opportunity with existing patient demand and the potential to develop into a meaningful, long-term role as our patient volume and services continue to grow. We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and prepared to begin treating patients as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and initiative to the position, take ownership of patient care and documentation, and enjoy collaborating within an established family-owned business with an ambitious vision for the future. The acupuncturist will treat both insurance and cash-pay patients across a wide range of ages, activity levels, and health concerns. Responsibilities Evaluate patients and develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans Provide safe, effective, and patient-focused acupuncture care Treat a diverse patient population, including athletes, active adults, older adults, and individuals managing pain or injury Educate patients regarding their treatment plans, progress, and supportive care Complete accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation Apply appropriate and current diagnosis and procedure codes Maintain documentation that supports medical necessity and insurance requirements Work closely with our billing department to support accurate claim submission and resolve documentation needs Maintain organized and current patient records Collaborate with our chiropractic, massage, recovery, nutrition, and fitness professionals Provide a welcoming and professional experience for both insurance and cash-pay patients Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited acupuncture or Oriental medicine program Active and unrestricted California acupuncture license Current professional liability and malpractice insurance Experience providing acupuncture treatment in a clinical setting Experience treating both insurance and cash-pay patients Knowledge of current billing codes and insurance-compliant documentation requirements Ability to complete accurate clinical documentation within required timelines Ability to satisfy applicable payer credentialing and out-of-network participation requirements No active exclusions, sanctions, or other restrictions that would prevent participation in applicable insurance or federally funded healthcare programs Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills Dependable, professional, and collaborative approach to patient care Preferred Qualifications Previous credentialing or experience working with Blue Shield and other commercial insurance plans Familiarity with out-of-network authorization, documentation, and billing processes Experience treating Medicare beneficiaries within applicable coverage and supervision requirements Experience treating musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, mobility concerns, and general wellness needs Experience working with patients across a wide range of ages and activity levels Interest in building a dependable, long-term role within a growing multidisciplinary practice Position Details Part-time independent-contractor opportunity Approximately two days or 16-18 hours per week Typical doctor schedule is 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Specific days and hours may be adjusted based on practice needs and the selected acupuncturist's availability Existing patient demand with the opportunity to continue building a consistent caseload Compensation varies based on patient volume, payer reimbursement, and collected revenue In-person position in Rancho Palos Verdes, California Established facility, administrative support, and collaboration with an experienced billing department Immediate availability strongly preferred About Results Sports & Fitness Results Sports & Fitness is a family-owned sports performance, fitness, treatment, and recovery facility with more than 40 years of experience serving athletes, individuals, and families throughout our community.
