Anesthesia Technician, PRN Days (57633) El Paso Childrens Hospital - El Paso, TX 79905 Apply Overview Level Experienced Position Type PRN Job Shift Day Education Level High School Category Health Care Apply Description The Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesia team prior to, during, and following patient procedures in all anesthesia care settings, including but not limited to, the Operating Room(s), Endoscopy Room, Radiology area(s), patient room(s) and intensive care units. The anesthesia technician checks equipment, disinfects machines and supply carts, replaces used products and prepares transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring. In addition, the incumbent assists with the preparation of anesthesia supplies both preoperatively and postoperatively by cleaning, maintaining, packaging, ordering, and inventorying of anesthesia supplies and assist environmental services employees in maintaining a clean environment.
Qualifications Work Experience:
Two years anesthesia tech experience.
License/Registration/Certification:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Skills:
Possess effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to use judgment in problem solving. Knowledge of supplies and equipment used in anesthesia procedures. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Share job details to
