An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

Beach House Center for Recovery is a well-established treatment facility in Palm Beach County that offers a full continuum of care to adults struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. Our goal is to give patients the freedom they have been waiting for by placing an emphasis on the healing power of love and connection. We are currently looking for a Masters Level Primary Therapist to work in our SUD Program.

Responsibilities Include:

Core issue identification and resolution with clients Individual, family and group

Therapies Development of Treatment Plans Qualifications Include:

Ability to connect to a variety of clients Willingness to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for best practice Salary is commensurate with experience

Schedule:

8 hour shift Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: Juno Beach, FL 33408: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

Master's with a clinical major (Required)

Experience:

Substance Use and and/or

Mental Health Disorder Therapist:

1 year (Preferred) All candidates offered a position must consent to a comprehensive background check including employment history, education verification, criminal records, driving history and other relevant checks. A pre-employment drug screen is also required as part of the hiring process.
