POSITION SUMMARY
Sanctuary Clinics is hiring a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) to facilitate structured therapy groups in our addictions cohort — an extended-care program serving young people (approximately 18-30) recovering from cannabis-induced psychosis, psychosis, and schizophrenia-spectrum instability. Most clients present with co-occurring compulsive behaviors including pornography use, video gaming, isolation, and dopamine-dysregulating habits. This role requires a clinician who can hold clinical authority and integrate faith-based formation with evidence-based group process.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate eight 90-minute therapy groups per week using a defined, sequenced curriculum (Jordan Peterson's seven life domains, James Clear's Atomic Habits four laws, and Christ-centered thought-captivity threads from 2 Corinthians 10:5). Deliver the group format as designed: 37-minute teaching block, 15-minute break, 38-minute processing/habits-lab block. Adapt group intensity using Red/Yellow/Green day protocols for clients with active psychosis symptoms or sensory dysregulation. Hold safety scripts and de-escalation for clients with psychosis, agitation, or compulsive-behavior activation. Coordinate with the Clinical Director, medical team, and discipleship staff on client progress and treatment planning. Document group participation and clinical observations per Sanctuary's charting standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS CAP
(Certified Addiction Professional) credential in Florida — active and in good standing. Minimum 2 years of group facilitation experience with SUD and/or co-occurring psychotic-disorder populations. Comfort holding groups with clients who have active or recent psychosis, cannabis-induced psychosis, or schizophrenia-spectrum diagnoses. Willingness to work within a Christ-centered clinical model and integrate biblical frameworks alongside clinical curriculum.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's-level licensure (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) or MCAP. Experience with young-adult male populations, pornography addiction, and gaming/dopamine dysregulation. Familiarity with motivational interviewing, CBT for psychosis (CBTp), and habit-formation frameworks.
