Full-Time Days Monday
  • Friday
  • Will require Occasional Weekends Working with High School Athletic Students during practice and games. Must be a Florida Department of Health Licensed Certified Athletic Trainer
  • Please note this position is not open to Personal Trainers Collaborates with contract leadership to define and execute policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned. Conducts initial assessments of athlete's injuries or illnesses, cares for athletic injuries using various techniques and equipment, and evaluates athletes' readiness to play. Identifies and provides patient and caregiver education opportunities. Adapts to extended working hours and multiple team schedules meeting the needs for athletic training coverage at various team events. Collaboratively works with team physicians, coaches, parents, athletes, and other allied health professionals, with the aim to prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate all sports-related injuries. Participates in performance improvement activities and supports departmental quality standards and initiatives. Makes independent assessments related to injury/illness prevention and wellness; performs clinical evaluation and diagnosis; provides emergency care; designs and implements comprehensive rehabilitation and therapeutic intervention programs using best evidence while providing athletic training services for assigned team(s), area(s), events. Maintains medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Utilizes standard coding and reimbursement practices for documentation and billing. Acts as a liaison between various departments, hospital staff, physicians, and partners to resolve operational issues. Markets Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation programs within the hospital and community. Communicates marketing and advertising efforts, competitor information, and partner needs to staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Windows
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational
English Education:
  • Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
  • in Athletic training or related field of study
Work Experience:
  • 1+ athletic training [Preferred]
  • 1+ years in health care or related field [Preferred]
