We strive to match the right individual with a team that best suits their skills and passions Provide prevention, treatment, evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Provide practice/game coverage for all intercollegiate sports. Makes medical referrals for student-athletes injured as a result of athletic competition. Provides rehabilitation services for student-athletes under the supervision of the appropriate physician. Monitors weather conditions and makes recommendations based upon student athlete welfare. Attends professional meetings, clinics, and workshops as appropriate. Maintains proper medical records of treatment. Administers all preseason baseline concussion tests to appropriate student athletes. Compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required in this position Preparing and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment in the Athletic Training Room. Maintaining updated EAP's for all athletic facilities. Acts as a preceptor for students in the Athletic Training Master's program. The Assistant Athletic Trainer accepts other duties, as assigned, to insure the successful operation of athletic department activities. Regular and predictable attendance is required. On-site work is required. Incumbents must remain relevant in the area of employment and flexible to changes in work related to institutional needs. The Assistant Athletic Trainer is a member of the Piedmont University Athletic Department reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer. Typical Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or Master's Degree in Athletic Trainer from CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Program Licenses and Certification BOC Certified State of Georgia Licensed or Eligible Must beCPR / AED
/ First Aid Certified Valid Georgia Driver's License (or obtained within 30 days of hire date) and satisfactory MVR.Job Type:
