Testudo Logistics is hiring a Certified Athletic Trainer to support Airmen assigned to the 23d Civil Engineering Squadron (23 CES) at Moody Air Force Base near Valdosta, Georgia. This Athletic Trainer will support the Human Performance Optimization program through injury prevention, musculoskeletal evaluation and treatment, rehabilitation, and performance optimization. Testudo currently provides services under the Moody HPO contract. This additional Athletic Trainer position is contingent upon award of the follow-on contract and government approval. Athletic Trainer responsibilities Evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries in a clinical and training environment. Develop individualized rehabilitation and injury prevention programs for military personnel. Conduct Athletic Trainer assessments of movement, flexibility, strength, endurance, and posture to identify injury risks. Provide therapeutic interventions, corrective exercises, preventative taping, and bracing. Educate Airmen on injury prevention, recovery, and self-management techniques. Collaborate with physical therapists, medical personnel, strength and conditioning coaches, and fellow athletic trainers. Required Athletic Trainer qualifications Graduate of a CAATE-accredited athletic training program. Master's degree in Athletic Training or a health science related discipline from an accredited institution. Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification as an Athletic Trainer. Current, unrestricted Athletic Trainer license from any state Certification in at least one of the following: soft tissue mobilization, Active Release Therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, or dry needling. At least two years of professional experience working with military personnel or professional, Olympic, or collegiate athletes. At least one year of full-time qualifying experience within the past two years. Qualifying experience must include full-time evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in a clinic or training room. Athletic Trainer schedule Generally Monday through Friday, eight hours per day and 40 hours per week. Schedules vary within the program's 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. operating window.
