Promethium Enterprises Inc. is seeking four Certified Athletic Trainers to provide tactical sports-medicine and Human Performance Optimization services to U.S. Air Force personnel. Athletic Trainers will support personnel associated with the: 93d Air Ground Operations Wing 820th Base Defense Group 71st Rescue Squadron 23d Civil Engineering Squadron One Athletic Trainer assigned to the 71st Rescue Squadron will primarily support operations from Building 643, Moody Air Force Base, Moody

Athletic Trainers will work as members of a multidisciplinary medical and Human Performance team focused on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, operational readiness, physical performance, and safe return to duty. Compensation $78,000-$88,000 annually , depending on professional experience, education, licensure, certifications, tactical or elite-athlete experience, and specialized clinical qualifications. Required Education Candidates must be graduates of an Athletic Training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) . Candidates must also possess a Master's Degree in Athletic Training, Health Science, or a closely related health-science discipline from an accredited institution . Required Professional Certification Candidates must possess and maintain current Board of Certification (BOC) certification for Athletic Trainers . Required Professional License Candidates must possess and maintain a full, current, valid, and unrestricted Athletic Trainer professional license issued by a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Required Soft-Tissue Qualification Candidates must possess documented certification or qualification in at least one qualifying form of soft-tissue mobilization , which may include: Active Release Therapy/Technique (ART) Graston Technique

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) Dry Needling Another qualifying soft-tissue mobilization methodology Required Professional Experience Candidates must possess at least two years of professional experience working with qualifying military or elite-athlete populations .

Qualifying populations may include:

Military personnel Tactical populations Professional athletes Olympic athletes Collegiate athletes At least one year of full-time qualifying experience must have occurred within the previous two years . Professional experience must include full-time responsibility for the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in a clinical or athletic-training-room environment . Primary Responsibilities Athletic Trainers will assess, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate tactical athletes while collaborating with multidisciplinary Human Performance and medical teams. Responsibilities include conducting injury and illness risk assessments and screenings involving: Musculoskeletal flexibility Muscular strength and endurance Cardiovascular fitness Functional movement Posture Ergonomics Mobility Body composition Physical-performance limitations Athletic Trainers will develop and implement individualized rehabilitation, corrective-exercise, conditioning, injury-prevention, and return-to-duty programs. Personnel will provide onsite and, when authorized, offsite emergency evaluation, triage, and treatment in accordance with applicable medical policies and professional standards.

Therapeutic interventions may include:

Range-of-motion exercises Flexibility techniques Strength and endurance training Speed and power development Balance and neuromuscular-control exercises Agility training Cardiovascular conditioning Functional movement activities Activity-specific rehabilitation Soft-tissue mobilization Corrective exercise Athletic Trainers may also perform preventative taping, bracing, orthotic-support activities, patient education, self-rehabilitation instruction, corrective exercises, reevaluation, and physical-readiness coordination. The position will document patient encounters using required Government medical and administrative systems. Athletic Trainers will collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, command personnel, and Human Performance staff and may attend command and staff meetings to provide recommendations regarding injury prevention, sports medicine, rehabilitation, equipment, and Human Performance programs. Standard duty schedules will generally fall between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Friday , not to exceed eight hours per day or 40 hours per week. Occasional support outside normal duty hours may be required for exercises or mission requirements. Travel Occasional authorized CONUS travel may be required to support exercises, temporary-duty activities, injury-prevention services, rehabilitation, or other Human Performance mission requirements. Background and Installation Requirements Selected candidates must be able to successfully complete and maintain the required Tier 1 background investigation and satisfy Moody Air Force Base installation-access requirements. Candidates will be subject to applicable fingerprinting, identification, credentialing, security, privacy, and installation-access processing.
