Position Type:
Full-Time FIT Muscle & Joint Clinic is seeking a motivated, passionate, and team-oriented Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive sports medicine services for a University athletes. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with athletes while being part of a progressive sports medicine team dedicated to keeping athletes healthy, performing at their best, and returning safely to competition. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and emergency care throughout the school's 10-month school year. During the offseason, the Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training coverage for additional schools, teams, community events, and clinic outreach opportunities. Position Responsibilities Team Coverage Provide athletic training coverage for team practices throughout the week. Provide on-site medical coverage for all scheduled games and tournaments. Travel with the women's lacrosse team for out-of-town competitions as required. Evaluate, treat, and manage athletic injuries during practices and competitions. Make return-to-play recommendations in collaboration with physicians, sports medicine team and coaching staff. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, physicians, and clinic staff regarding injuries and rehabilitation plans. Maintain accurate injury documentation and treatment records. Training Room Responsibilities Provide athletic training services during scheduled training room hours. Assist with injury evaluations, rehabilitation programs, therapeutic exercise, and recovery services. Collaborate with physical therapists, chiropractors, physicians, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care. Assist with community outreach, sports performance initiatives, and injury prevention education. Offseason Responsibilities Following the school year, the Athletic Trainer will continue full-time employment by providing athletic training services for additional athletic programs, community sporting events, outreach initiatives, and other clinic coverage opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). Eligible for state licensure. Current CPR/AED certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel for required events. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Passion for working with high-level athletes in a collaborative sports medicine environment.
