Athletic Trainer - Apex TMSA Public Charter Schools - 3.3 Apex, NC Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $79,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Certified Athletic Trainer First Aid Certification AED Certification First aid and CPR Full Job Description Position Summary Triangle Math and Science Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Athletic Trainer to provide quality medical care and injury prevention services for our student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer will work closely with the Athletic Director, coaches, student-athletes, parents, and healthcare providers to promote the health, safety, and well-being of all participants in the athletic program. Essential Responsibilities Provide athletic training coverage for home and away athletic contests and selected practices. Evaluate, treat, and manage athletic injuries and illnesses. Develop and implement injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-play programs. Maintain accurate injury reports, treatment logs, and medical records. Coordinate emergency action plans and respond appropriately to athletic emergencies. Communicate with physicians, parents, coaches, and school administrators regarding athlete health and participation. Ensure compliance with all state, school, and athletic association medical guidelines. Monitor and maintain athletic training equipment and medical supplies. Educate student-athletes and coaches on injury prevention, hydration, nutrition, and overall wellness. Assist with pre-participation physicals and medical clearance procedures. Attend coaches' meetings and provide recommendations regarding athlete participation status. Promote a positive and professional environment that supports student success and sportsmanship. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field. Current certification by the Board of Certification (BOC). Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in North Carolina. Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications. Experience working with high school or collegiate athletics preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work evenings and weekends during athletic seasons. Preferred Qualifications Experience with multiple sports. Knowledge of concussion management protocols. Familiarity with electronic medical documentation systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to respond quickly during athletic emergencies. Travel with the Football and Basketball team Reliable transportation
