Paid summers off! What You'll Do Conduct initial assessments of athletes' injuries or illnesses to provide emergency or continued care and determine whether referral to a physician is necessary. Provide athletic injury prevention, assessment, treatment, first aid, and reconditioning in accordance with standards established by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) and National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). Provide services to student-athletes under the direction of the team physician or through written referral from a physician, in accordance with applicable state athletic training practice laws and regulations. Perform proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment. Serve as a liaison between student-athletes and Physical Therapists. Communicate effectively with coaches, student-athletes, parents, physicians, patients, and Company staff. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff, athletes, coaches, and the general public. What You Bring Bachelor's degree with major coursework in kinesiology/biomechanics, exercise physiology, infection control, professionalism and ethics, and the prevention and care of athletic injuries. BOC certification required. Current state athletic training licensure. Knowledge of athletic injuries, including their prevention, recognition, assessment, treatment, and first aid. Current CPR and/or AED certification . Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with student-athletes, coaches, physicians, Physical Therapists, staff, and the general public.
