This position offers an immediate hiring opportunity for qualified professionals committed to athlete health and safety. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing comprehensive injury prevention, assessment, and treatment services to student-athletes, ensuring optimal performance and well-being throughout the event. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of sports medicine, physiology, and emergency care, with a focus on fostering a safe sporting environment. 9/17 3:30pm to 7:30pm Duties Provide immediate medical attention and injury management for athletes during the sporting event, including treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and implementing injury prevention protocols. Conduct pre-participation evaluations and monitor athlete health status using sports medicine best practices. Collaborate effectively with coaches, school staff, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Administer first aid, CPR, and basic life support as needed to respond swiftly to emergencies. Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and athlete progress using electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems. Educate athletes on nutrition, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies to promote overall health. Assist in setting up emergency care procedures and ensuring compliance with safety protocols throughout the event. Qualifications Certification in First Aid and CPR (including Basic Life Support) from recognized organizations. Proven experience working with athletes in sports medicine or athletic training roles. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and sports rehabilitation therapy. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documenting patient care. Strong understanding of injury prevention techniques, body mechanics, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations including athletes, coaches, and healthcare providers. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations. Prior experience in sports medicine or athletic training at school or collegiate levels is preferred.
