Certified Athletic Trainer for game coverage NYC Goodhart Physical Therapy PC New York, NY Job Details Part-time $50 - $60 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Certified Athletic Trainer Master's degree Bachelor's degree First Aid Certification AED Certification First aid and CPR Full Job Description Per Diem Certified Athletic Trainer - NYC Sports CoverageAbout the Role Goodhart Physical Therapy is looking for a Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide sideline coverage for adult recreational sports leagues in NYC. This is a per diem opportunity with primarily Saturday coverage through November, making it a great fit for an Athletic Trainer looking for flexible weekend work and additional sports coverage experience.
Compensation:
$50-$60/hour, depending on experience Please note: BOC certification and an active NYS Athletic Trainer license are required. Personal training certifications are not accepted for this position. Responsibilities Provide on-field injury assessment, evaluation, and triage Provide immediate care and treatment within scope of practice Perform preventative and therapeutic taping and strapping Determine when injuries require further medical evaluation or follow-up Communicate appropriately with athletes, coaches, and league staff Maintain a safe, professional, and prepared sideline presence throughout games Requirements Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) — required Active NYS Athletic Trainer license — required Personal professional liability insurance — required Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification — required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training Prior on-field or event coverage experience Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment What We're Looking For We're looking for an ATC who is confident working independently, comfortable managing acute injuries, and enjoys working with an active adult athletic community. Experience covering multiple sports is a plus.
