The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive athletic training services, ensuring athlete safety, and collaborating effectively with school staff and healthcare professionals. This role is vital in promoting athlete health, managing injuries, and implementing protocols to enhance sports performance. 9/17 3:30pm to 7:30pm Duties Provide on-site athletic training coverage during sporting events, including injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. Implement injury prevention protocols and educate athletes on proper body mechanics, nutrition, and conditioning. Administer first aid and CPR as needed, ensuring immediate response to emergencies. Collaborate with coaches, school nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers to develop individualized athlete care plans. Maintain detailed documentation of injuries, treatments, and progress using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Conduct physiologic assessments and utilize sports rehabilitation therapy techniques to facilitate safe return-to-play decisions. Monitor athletes' health status during practices and competitions, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Educate athletes on health coaching principles, injury management, and recovery strategies. Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards when handling sensitive medical information. Stay current with advancements in sports medicine, anatomy knowledge, and emergency care practices. Requirements Certification as a Licensed Athletic Trainer from an accredited organization. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and sports medicine principles.
