This full-time position offers the chance to make a measurable impact on the learning experience of students from diverse backgrounds. Youll work collaboratively with educational professionals and families, providing specialized support to students with hearing loss and Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). The assignment runs from mid-December through early June, aligned with the academic calendar.

Key Qualifications:

Current California Audiology license required Previous experience working with school-aged children is strongly preferred Strong knowledge of hearing assessments, reporting, and educational audiology best practices Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and family members Ability to travel between multiple school sites during the day as an itinerant provider

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct audiological assessments and generate comprehensive reports for students, including those with CAPD Participate in the development of IEPs, IFSPs, and 504 plans; actively contribute to team meetings and staffings Offer guidance and recommend accommodations or interventions to support student needs Manage, order, maintain, and troubleshoot HAT/FM devices and other amplification equipment, including hearing aids Serve as a resource for staff, families, and the DHH team on matters related to hearing and amplification Foster collaborative relationships with teachers, school teams, and district personnel to enhance students access to curriculum and instruction This contract position provides a consistent Monday-Friday schedule (37.5 hours weekly) throughout the academic year.
