The Michigan Ear Institute is currently recruiting a full-time audiologist. Primary responsibilities include diagnostic testing and hearing aid dispensing in a medical practice. At least two years of vestibular testing is highly desirable. The Michigan Ear Institute is one of the nation's leading surgical groups specializing in hearing disorders, dizziness, inner ear, skull base, and facial nerve disorders in adults and children. Our professional staff is a highly skilled, experienced team of neurotologists and audiologists who have earned national and international recognition for their outstanding diagnostic, surgical, and research achievements. Our staff consists of 17 audiologists and 10 neurotologists. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for our patients. This is a fast-paced work environment. The employee may need to travel between our three clinics in the metro Detroit area.

Proficient in diagnostic audiology skills:

audiometry, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions testing, otoscopy Proficient with hearing aids, hearing aid fitting, follow-up, counseling, and Real Ear measurements. Proficient in ABR, VNG, ECoG, VEMP; experience with vHIT is a plus Experienced with patient counseling Advanced computer skills with exposure to hearing aid database software such as Sycle Excellent report writing and clinical documentation skills Audiologist license to practice in the State of Michigan obtained prior to start date. BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Friendly and personable. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Office 365. Ability to use email and electronic calendars. Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to apply principles of logic to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to work in a stressful environment.
