The Audiology Service at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital in Columbia, Missouri is offering two Au.

D. externship positions for the 2027-2028 academic year. A stipend is tentative based on final budget approval. The position is a 12 month commitment with an anticipated start date of May 2027. Our main facility is located in Columbia on the campus of the University of Missouri, home of the Mizzou Tigers, and works in coordination with 8 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) providing audiology services throughout a large portion of Missouri. Columbia possesses a unique blend of metropolitan flair and Midwestern hospitality. The city, located approximately 125 miles from both Kansas City and St. Louis, has a population of 126,000, including 30,000 students from three area colleges. Several publications have rated Columbia as one of the nation's best cities in which to live. Clinic services include comprehensive audiologic evaluations, amplification including assistive devices, ABR, vestibular evaluations including VEMP and VHIT, cochlear implants, osseointegrated hearing aids, cerumen management, tinnitus management, aural rehabilitation and CAPD evaluations.
