We are looking for an experienced Audiologist / Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) to join our Manhattan office . Position Overview The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in audiology, hearing aid dispensing, or hearing healthcare and be comfortable working directly with patients from hearing evaluation through hearing aid fitting, programming, and follow-up care. The role will primarily be based in our Manhattan office, with occasional patient home visits as needed. The ideal candidate should be comfortable providing professional hearing care in both office and home settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated hearing healthcare professional who enjoys patient interaction, technology, and building long-term relationships with patients. Responsibilities Conduct hearing evaluations and screenings within the scope of your license. Evaluate patients' hearing needs and recommend appropriate hearing solutions. Demonstrate, fit, dispense, and program hearing aids. Perform hearing aid adjustments, fine-tuning, troubleshooting, and follow-up appointments. Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss and hearing aid options. Explain hearing aid technology, features, maintenance, and proper use. Take ear impressions when required and permitted within the scope of practice. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation. Follow up with patients after fittings to ensure satisfaction and successful use of their devices. Work with major hearing aid manufacturers and programming platforms. Coordinate with the internal team regarding patient appointments, device orders, fittings, and follow-ups. Provide an exceptional patient experience and maintain a professional, patient-first approach. Requirements Valid New York State Audiologist License OR Hearing Aid Dispenser/Hearing Instrument Specialist License/Registration is required. 1-5 years of relevant professional experience required. Experience with hearing aid fitting, programming, troubleshooting, and follow-up. Strong knowledge of current hearing aid technology. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional appearance and strong attention to detail. Comfortable conducting home visits for patients when required. Willingness to travel locally within the NYC area for scheduled patient appointments and home visits. Must be comfortable working in person at our Manhattan office . Preferred Experience Experience with hearing aid manufacturers such as: Phonak Oticon Signia Starkey Widex Experience in a private hearing clinic, audiology practice, or hearing aid center is a plus.
