Austin ENT Clinic is offering one 4th year Au.

D. externship position for 2027-2028. Austin ENT Clinic is a large practice with several locations in the Austin area. The extern's work schedule may be divided among the different locations. The position is a 12-month, full-time, paid externship that will provide the extern with the potential to gain experience and proficiency in audiological and vestibular diagnostics, hearing aids, osseointegrated devices, and cochlear implants. We serve adult and pediatric populations. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Diagnostic audiological evaluations, as ordered by the physician/PA, including: Basic comprehensive audiometry Tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, reflex decay Otoacoustic emissions Auditory Brainstem Response testing Vestibular testing Hearing aid services Evaluation, consultation, selection, counseling, and dispensing Programming, troubleshooting, in-house repairs Earmold impressions for hearing aids and swim molds Real ear measurements, functional gain Assistive device counseling, selection, and dispensing Implantable devices Baha/Osia/cochlear implant evaluation and counseling Programming and troubleshooting Appropriate documentation in the electronic medical records of patient contact and appointments Provide requested documentation to state agencies, schools, and other professionals Minimum requirements: bachelor's degree, eligibility for Au.
