Job Description
If you are an experienced Registered Behavior Technician eager to make a difference in a supportive educational environment, this full-time opportunity in Huntsville, AL, could be the ideal next step in your career. You'll play a vital role in supporting students' behavioral and academic success under the supervision of a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This contracted position spans from ASAP through May 28, 2027, requiring 35 hours per week during regular school hours—no part-time or modified schedules can be accommodated. The district may proceed directly to placement or request interviews, so adaptability with the hiring process is essential.
What We're Looking For:
1-2 years of direct RBT experience in school settings Current or inactive (not expired) RBT certification (verifiable through BACB) Ability to commit to the full school calendar without scheduling conflicts Experience collecting behavioral/classroom data and working with students needing physical intervention Willingness to assist with bathroom/toileting needs if requested Reliable transportation to fulfill your assignment Comfortable with receiving your exact school assignment shortly before start due to evolving placement needsCore Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision Collect and maintain accurate behavioral data in classroom settings Provide support to students with diverse behavioral needs, including those who may require physical intervention Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure student progress Assist with daily student activities, including personal care if required You'll enjoy a highly competitive hourly rate of $24-$25, offering a rewarding path to grow your career and skills while making a tangible impact on students' lives.
