In this role, you will work directly with children and teens diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be providing support through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavior change and enhance the quality of life for our clients. RBTs that are working towards their candidacy and supervision for BCBA/BCaBA oversight are preferred, and opportunities for unrestricted hours are available for BCBA/BCaBA candidates weekly as well. 20-50% of RBTs service hours will be overseen by their supervising clinician/BCBA, who also serves clients with direct therapy hours and family training/engagement sessions. Duties Implement individualized treatment plans based on ABA principles to support children in achieving their behavioral goals. Assist in the collection and documentation of data related to client progress and behavior management. Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques that can be used at home. Provide patient care by ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children during therapy sessions. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with team members to develop effective strategies for behavior management and intervention. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral therapy. Experience Previous experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities, is highly desirable. Familiarity with patient care practices and behavioral therapy techniques is beneficial. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is preferred. Commitment to client dignity, trauma-informed practices, and client-assent based methods is required. Ability to connect with teens and children through play, conversations, arts/crafts, sports, games, and other activities required. Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential for building rapport with clients and their families. Ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively while maintaining a positive therapeutic environment.
