This full-time, contract position calls for a skilled Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) to bring expertise, enthusiasm, and support to a vibrant educational environment. Serving students in California, you'll play a vital role in fostering physical development for children with diverse learning needs. What we're seeking: Active BCBA certification Prior experience in school-based settings or working with children strongly preferred Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families Adaptability and creativity in designing effective, inclusive programs Commitment to promoting positive outcomes for students with unique physical and behavioral needs Key responsibilities: Assess students to determine physical education needs and appropriate adaptive strategies Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that encourage participation and skill-building Collaborate closely with special education teams and related service providers Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed Provide consultation and training for colleagues and families regarding best practices in adaptive physical education Maintain compliance with California state educational standards and documentation This contract role offers the chance to enjoy full benefits and weekly pay, while contributing in a meaningful way to student growth and school success.
