Vital is a public-private partnership that provides medical, nurse, and behavioral intervention services to school districts and municipalities. This public-private partnership has proved to be a valuable program in the communities served. Weekday availability and immediate start are required.

Responsibilities:

As a Vital School Behavioral Technician, you will work directly with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to help develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the implementation of behavior intervention plans developed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for multiple students in a general education setting. Provide targeted support to students as needed, focusing on promoting positive behavior and academic engagement. Apply principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to address behavioral challenges and encourage constructive behaviors across different students. Collaborate with teachers, educational support staff, parents, and other professionals to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Collect and maintain accurate data on student behavior and progress for ongoing assessment and planning. Communicate regularly with the BCBA and team members to provide updates and insights on student needs and intervention effectiveness.

Experience and Qualifications:

1 year of Behavior Technician experience preferred.

CPI / NCI

certification preferred. Previous experience working with children or individuals with behavioral challenges is preferred. Exposure to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles in a professional or educational setting. Ability to implement behavioral plans and adapt strategies based on individual needs.
