Please note:
this role involves regular travel to Hoopa — about a 45-75 minute drive from the Humboldt coast (Eureka / Arcata / McKinleyville). If you live in or near the Hoopa Valley, even better — we'd especially love to hear from you.
Pay:
$23-$27/hour, depending on experience and certification.

Must have:
reliable transportation, a valid California driver's license, and active auto insurance — this role includes daily local travel between sites. What you'll do Deliver individualized ABA therapy exactly as designed by your supervising BCBA — antecedent strategies, reinforcement, and skill-acquisition plans. Collect and record accurate behavioral data (frequency, interval, permanent product) and keep graphs and tracking current. Support preference and functional behavior assessments under BCBA direction. Implement behavior intervention plans as written, and follow crisis and safety protocols once trained. Write clear session notes and service verification promptly, maintaining strict HIPAA (and, in schools, FERPA) confidentiality. Work within the RBT scope of practice — never creating or altering treatment plans independently — and bring progress and barriers to your BCBA. Build genuine rapport with clients and families and collaborate with teachers and community partners. What we're looking for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred. Not certified yet? We provide paid training and BCBA supervision to help you earn it within your first [30-90] days. High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in psychology, education, child development, or a related field is a plus (a bachelor's degree is a bonus). Prior experience with children or individuals with disabilities in homes, schools, or clinics is highly preferred. Strong communication, reliability, and professionalism consistent with the ethics code for behavior analysts. Ability to move frequently between sitting, kneeling, and standing and to lift/carry up to 25 lbs. An honest note on the work This is rewarding, hands-on work in varied settings. You may encounter challenging behaviors (hitting, biting, scratching, property destruction) and possible exposure to bodily fluids. We train you thoroughly and never send you in unprepared — but we want you walking in knowing what the day-to-day really looks like.
