Behavior Interventionist I (Home‑Based ABA Services) Open Mind Behavior Norwalk, CA Job Details Part-time $21 - $24 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Open Mind Behavior is looking for team members who enjoy engaging with young children and want to learn practical skills in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Behavior Technicians work directly with toddlers and children in their homes and local community settings, helping them build communication, social, and everyday living skills. You'll receive ongoing training and guidance from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and use playful, developmentally supportive teaching strategies. This position is part‑time and requires consistent afternoon availability. What You'll Do Provide 1:1 support to children using ABA strategies in home and community environments Follow individualized treatment plans designed by a supervising BCBA Use play‑based activities to teach communication, social interaction, and adaptive skills Record session data and document progress with accuracy Implement behavior plans and follow safety procedures Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and families Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings Maintain reliable attendance and uphold high standards of care Support a child‑centered, neurodiversity‑affirming approach to learning What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation for home‑based sessions Steady after‑school availability Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow guidance and accept feedback Comfort interacting with toddlers and young children Professionalism, patience, and dependability Preferred Experience (Not Required) Experience with children (babysitting, tutoring, childcare, teaching, etc.) Interest in ABA, psychology, education, child development, or related fields Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental differences
