Behavior Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, providing support through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. This role is essential in helping clients achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life. The Behavior Technician will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, collecting data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our clients. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles. Collect and document data on client progress and behavior changes accurately. Assist in conducting patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment strategies. Maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and educators, to provide comprehensive support to clients. Engage clients in therapeutic activities designed to promote skill development and behavioral improvement. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding progress and any concerns. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral therapy. Requirements Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and patient assessment procedures. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. A compassionate approach towards client care, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions. Previous experience working with children is a plus but not required.
