r46978-95148 Job Description Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Full-Time | School-Based | Onsite in San Jose, CA (open to local and travel candidates) About the Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join a school-based team supporting students with behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs. The BCBA will collaborate with educators, administrators, related service providers, and families to develop and implement effective behavioral interventions that promote student success in the educational setting. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting students, training staff, and helping create positive learning environments across the school community. Key Responsibilities Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and analyze behavioral data to identify student needs. Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). Provide direct and consultative behavioral support for students across various educational settings. Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to guide decision-making and measure progress. Train, coach, and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff on evidence-based behavior management strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education staff, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and administrators. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute behavioral recommendations and goals. Support crisis prevention, de-escalation, and behavior reduction strategies as needed. Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and BACB ethical standards. Promote positive behavior supports and inclusive practices throughout the school environment. Qualifications Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required. Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field. Experience working with children and adolescents in educational, clinical, or community settings. Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and school-based behavioral services preferred. Strong data collection, assessment, and analytical skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities. Preferred Experience Previous school-based BCBA experience. Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional/Behavioral Disorders, ADHD, and other exceptional learning needs. Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Experience providing staff training and behavioral consultation.
