Behavior Technician Spanish Bilingual 50 Stars Staffing - 5.0 Santa Ana, CA Job Details Part-time $22 - $25 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications RBT Certification Teamwork High school diploma or GED Working with students Fading in ABA therapy Full Job Description 50 Stars Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavior Technician (BT) to provide individualized support to a TK student in a general education classroom in Santa Ana, California . The student is a verbal communicator and participates in a bilingual program where approximately 90% of the school day is conducted in Spanish . The primary support needs include elopement and physical aggression toward staff and students. The current assignment is bell-to-bell, from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM , with the possibility of expanding coverage to begin before the school bell to assist with the student's transition from the parent's vehicle onto the school campus. Responsibilities Provide consistent 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day. Support the student in a general education classroom environment. Implement positive behavior-support and intervention strategies. Assist with preventing and safely responding to elopement behaviors. Support the student during episodes of physical aggression toward staff or peers. Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and academic activities. Promote positive social interactions and appropriate classroom behavior. Follow individualized behavior and safety-support strategies. Collect and document behavioral observations and data as directed. Communicate relevant observations and progress to the classroom and behavioral support team. Assist with the transition from the parent's vehicle to the school campus if the schedule is expanded. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for the student and others. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with young children or students with behavioral needs preferred. Experience supporting students with Autism or developmental disabilities is a plus. Experience with ABA or positive behavior-support strategies preferred. RBT certification is a plus but not required . Ability to remain calm and patient when supporting challenging behaviors. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Spanish language skills are a plus due to the bilingual classroom environment. Ability to provide reliable, consistent 1:1 support.
