Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or paraeducator, supporting students in a close-knit elementary community located in the scenic mountains near Boulder, CO. Youll focus primarily on 2nd and 3rd grade learners within moderate needs classrooms, collaborating closely with the schools Principal and Special Education Director. This role is ideal for professionals committed to making meaningful impacts each school day and who thrive in unique environments.
Key Qualifications:
Current RBT certification or experience as a paraeducator supporting students with special needs Minimum of two years in a special education classroom within a public school setting Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams Reliable transportation is a must Comfortable and experienced with driving in mountainous, snowy winter conditions Preference for candidates residing in or near Boulder, Nederland, Ward, Black Hawk, Central City, Rollinsville, Gilpin, or Boulder County due to local housing realities Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a small, tight-knit community school at 8,000 ft elevation
Role Responsibilities:
Work onsite, directly supporting PK5 students, primarily 2nd and 3rd graders Carry out behavior intervention and instructional strategies under the guidance of licensed professionals Contribute actively to student progress, classroom management, and individualized support plans Attend scheduled training days (23 days) and work all student attendance days (approximately 8:303:30) Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and specialists This full-time role (35 hours/week) allows you to support children in a stunning mountain setting, with the added bonus of proximity to outdoor recreation like Eldora Mountain.
