Behavior Technician A Brand New Day - 3.2 New Haven, CT Job Details Part-time $22 - $27 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Referral program Qualifications Working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders Working with individuals with autism Working with children Human Services Training & development Working with children with disabilities Associate's degree Full Job Description A Brand New Day , a specialty practice for children with autism and other behavioral needs, is looking for Behavior Technicians(BT)/Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and Trainers to join our growing team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide behavior therapy to support and encourage growth and skill development, assisting in the delivery of behavioral and treatment goals. Simply put, your work will directly change the lives of children with autism. Individuals with backgrounds as a paraprofessional (para), direct care worker, life skills instructor, ABA therapist, and other human services fields are also encouraged to apply. Work one-on-one with children to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy with the support and direction of a BCBA Assist with data collection and clinical reporting of child learning progress Collaborate with treatment team, including other Behavior Technicians (BT's), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT's), and BCBA's Participate in on-going training in order to further develop skills and working knowledge Required Skills An Associates degree or 60 credits in a related Human Services field For the Behavior Technician role, prior work experience (1-2 years) with individuals with Autism For the Trainer role, prior work experience in ABA Must have a reliable transportation Must be able to work afternoons and evenings For the Trainer role, you will perform a mixed role wherein you will work on cases and also support and train new technicians in the field.
