Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a direct impact on the lives of high school students by providing behavioral support in a dynamic special education environment near Norwich, Connecticut. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in fostering growth and independence for students with unique learning needs. This full-time contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Compensation for this opportunity ranges from $22.43 to $30.23 per hour, reflecting your experience and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct, individualized 1:1 behavioral and educational support to a high school student within a special education setting. Implement evidence-based behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition programs under the supervision of a qualified expert. Support students as they build communication, social, academic, adaptive, and independent-living skills. Provide behavioral guidance in classroom and group activities, assisting with transitions and established routines. Collect, document, and maintain accurate behavioral and skill-acquisition data. Adhere to all classroom, behavioral, and safety protocols to ensure a positive, structured learning environment. Participate fully in classroom activities, supporting the holistic needs of the student.

Required Qualifications:

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain certification. Completion of relevant RBT training and competency requirements. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to pass all required background checks and obtain necessary school clearances. Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with special education needs; experience in special education is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), data collection, and behavioral intervention strategies.
